Philip Island Classic - this weekend 9th,10th & 11th March
Hey all, the 2007 Philip Island Classic is on this weekend.
Quote - A highlight for many visitors will be the sight and sound in regularity events and demonstrations of seven famous racing Porsches sent to the
meeting from the company’s Museum in Stuttgart. They include Porsche’s first and only Formula 1 car – the eight cylinder 1.5 litre Type 804, two
eight cylinder Porsche 908 sports cars that won Sicily’s Targa Florio road race in 1969 and 1970 and the Porsche 936/77 and 911 GT1 sports cars that
won the Le Mans 24-Hour endurance races in 1977 and 1998 respectively.
Well worth getting down there and having a looksee as these race cars will probably never be seen down this way again.
Shannons Walk during the P.I. Classic
The Vic VW Club has also been invited to participate in the Shannons Walk of Classic cars at the PI circuit during this weekend.
Come along to our stand and and say giday.
My T34 KG will be there. We have a very limited no. of car spaces left on our display site. If you want to be involved in the display give me a call.

Hey Vic Dubbers, I am short of a good Splitty T2 for our club display on the Saturday (and Sunday if you can) Any one keen for a free 3 day pass into
this event and the thrill of seeing thier Splitty as part of the Shannons Walk.
I can even offer you a bed for the night if you want to stay over. I have a house in Cowes.
