Whats happening with Adelaide International Dragway

As the title states.
Does anyone know when the Adelaide International Dragway will be opening up for off street drag nights again?
I thought a year or two ago they were doing advertisements on the radio for wednesday or friday night drags anyone could participate in......

Where else in adelaide can one put there vehicle down the quarter legally with an accurate timing system?

Best to duck over to Heathcote Dude.
But it is a long drive.
Bummer not having a track.
I am so glad that now that Sydney has a track that all kinds of Volksies are getting out there to have a go.

Their old excuse was, "no track", now there is no excuse not to run your car in Sydney.

Yeah guys Heathcote is the way to go.

Come down on June the 9th we have the track to ourselves.

We need about 40 cars to make it all happen so contact the VW club of Vic and book it in. Only $40 and run all day.

Probably cutting it a bit fine for us...damn it! I'd love to do a few shake down runs before Warwick with the new NA combination but we've still got the gearbox to sort out!!

I've forgotten how to race it's been that long!!
My last time card dates back to Nov 2005!

Congratulations to the club for pushing these events. Once the cars done we'll be keen to get involved for sure!!!

Hey David,

What's the prob with the gearbox? Can I help?

It would be cool if you could come down for a race!

If not we will hook it up later on in the year to have a few cars running together and I dare say Adam might want to come down again, I just wonder which car he will pick to race? Big problem!

Hmmm... I've heard of some louts that use a g-tech timer on diagonal road in Cavan... apparently the road gets a little bumpy at 200kph though...
It will be great to see the adelaide track back up and running...surely someone can just poison of the weeds, grab a stop watch and we're all set!:bounce
