Help - How to fit a Clutch return spring.
Help needed as I am about to slit my wrists. Whats the easist way to replace this spring? This is the spring on the clutch arm on the gear box not
the pedal assembly.
Advice needed ASAP.

i found when i did mine i had to pull the motor as no matter what i did i couldnt get the leaverage to get it right with the motor in anybody else

The story goes, pulled 1641cc, as I did the head driving back from the nationals, Installed 1600cc good runner, recent topend rebuild, started ran for
25min and started to sqeel like a bitch then seased. I think it may have been blooked oil journals or somthing, shame I didn't rebuild the bottom end
as well. Out comes another engine. Just as I dropped the 2nd engine for the morning the clutch spring lets go.
So now I'm going back to the trusty 1200cc.
engine is out at the moment, but I'm about10-15mm shy of getting the spring hook over the clutch arm.
Any suggestions?

its not as hard as you think (this being said - it did take me over an hour the first time i tried - and a second person! lol
i used a set of vice-grips to pull the spring, i think from memory the arm was hooked first. then when i got to a specific point, whilst keeping the
tension on the sping with the vice-grips i would push it in to its seat with a screw driver or a blunt object at the same time moving the vice grips
in toward the gearbox.
hopefully that makes sence

I think it can be done but its bloody hard much easier with the engine out so u can pull the shaft into position
