Twin carbys yes or no?
I have been thinking about putting twin kadrons on my 1600 71 model kombi, but have been told this will only glaze up my bores and shorten the life of
my motor. So is the twin carby idea worth doing to get a little more go out of her or is it going to slowly kill my engine thanks.

The carbs won't kill the engine, the operator might.

Kadrons work well on the twin port 1600 and you should also fit some extractors as well.
As for glazing your bores :jesus ........only if someone has been playing with the jets and pump stroke.

the wrong jetts arethe culprit for glasing the bore the correct jets will not allow excess fuel to fill the heads with fuel ya can't burn
