Gmail accounts - Who wants one?
I have 50 Gmail invites to distribute. Almost 3 gig of online storage, and gives you a .NET passport.
I've used the beta for over a year now and it has just gone live. If you don't already have a roaming e-mail account, gmail is brilliant.
Anyone interested, e-mail me at tmsinecure[at]gmail[dot]com (bracketed translations to avoid bots - use @ and .)
Cheers,
Mick.

Well, on the surface, none I guess, I was just granted another 50 invites when it went live.
Thought it might save some less internet friendly people some time is all.
Some info for anyone interested:
Security was questioned when the system was first introduced back in '05, but gmail fixed the exploitable hole back then. No further exploits have
been found to exist. JavaScript and cookies must be enabled on all browsers, though, but I live behind a hardware firewalled router, so I've never
been concerned even the slightest. However, like with any e-mail account, don't leave it logged in for weeks at a time, and regulalry perform disk
cleanups deleting cookies and offline content.
Excellent anti-spam systems. Very high-level encryption plug-ins available for Firefox and Netscape. No download of any message or attachment to
your home PC unless instructed. Better file size upload/transfer than any home e-mail system. Nearly 3 gig of on-line storage, and increasing by the
minute. Chat system. Mail search system. User ID provides .NET passport account (used by a lot of Microsoft partners and MSN forum sites).
Confirgurable auto-forwarding. The list goes on and on.
Basically, I use this e-mail for all non-personal communication, where I don't want to give away my home account details to businesses I'm getting
quotes from, random online enquiries etc. Also to upload every e-mail (encrypted) I get from home and work so that when I upgrade and rebuild my OS,
I can easily retrieve all my e-mail data. Photos too, at full resolution, even from OS on hols. I have been doing this for well over 12 months and
have only just used 1% of my available space.
