This type of engine was not thrust, but power transfered to the wheels.

AWESOME!!

Very cool stuff Dave, just thinking with 1000shp thats gotta be one tough trans. The turbine engines i work on require a two stage planetary reduction gearbox to turn 36000 rpm into 2200rpm, which results in torque values anywhere from depending on engine model 1800 to 5000 lb/ft. Also the fuel is some nasty stuff too, sought of like the fuel used in the SR71 black birds, it was so volatile that i didn't require ignitor plugs, just exposure to oxygen would set it alight. Thanks Dave.

Hahaha, I have the technical manual and manufacturing drawings for one of these thrust engines.

Spyder-WISD 07-09-05 11.6s @ 125 MPH

Speedster-WISD Nats 05 14.4s @ 89 MPH

Jet cruiser-Coogee 22-09-05 900 deg C @ 110,000 rpm

Weaseling out of things is what separates us from the animals....................Except the Weasel.

Ya know... There's a bloke here in WA that you all may have heard of that used to hold the landspeed record (current?) for a jet powered go-kart.... His name is Rosco McGlashan, and he's a bloody marvel! The kart is in the Freo Motor Museum if your interested.....

This stuff is total madness Dave.... Unbelievable!!!

FUCH your early!
