red light on
my red light does not come on at start, but,
when the car is going the light stays on. some times it
flickers and then solid.
i have changed the regulator. the battery is being charged when i rev though as the volts go up on my multimeter.
my idiot guide did not tell me much nor the vw bug manual.
what the!!!!!!!

Check that all the wires are still attached to your voltage regulator.
