type3 question


hi guys ive been offered a type3 donk for my baja ,and ive been told that i can run it in standard form without the upright cooling system of the type 1 ,is this true ,,,thanx

NO you need to convert it to upright or add some ducting to allow air flow into the engine cooling system

the flayt engine cooling sucks from the rear and when your driving your car along it creatsa vacuum behind the car there for not allowing the engine to suck the cooling air into the fan area.

im getting it for nothin ,but it needs rings ,ide like a porshe shroud setup but there as dear as poison ,i might look at running some ducting from off the rear guards and onto each side of the motor ,that might work ,,,,

thanx kroozzn ,i just didnt know what was involved ,i dont mind if i have to rebuild the engine cause ill do it myself,but i wasnt sure how too run it ,thats what i thought the forums were for to help if someone needs it ,,,thanx again kroozzn
