The "Old Volks Home" is gone for good!!!

G'day,
Our property (22 acres) just north of Bendigo in central Victoria has been sold and will change hands in the next couple of weeks.
The last of the cars left the place today on their way to the Scrap yard (32 alltogether), and another 10-12 went to futher other folks projects.
Rhett (PHAT BUG) and I have kept 7 potential projects for the future and as I am moving on to 1/2 an acre there's no room for anymore.
We kept a '69 Bay, '74 Bay camper, a Country Buggy, the "Desert Bug" ('66 Baja), Damo's old black Beetle and another Beetle donor car, and of course Rhett's Commer van.
It's been a hard few weeks deciding what stays and what goes but it is now done.
Someone said the other day that it was "the end of an era in the VW scene" but we will still be in the scene just not with such a big collection of bits.
Cheers, Ian.

G'day Neil,
All is well.
The Scrappy did all the work and gave me $110 a tonne. The hardest bit was getting rid of approx 150 tyres, $5 each at the Bendigo dump, we found a farmer who took them to hold down tarps over feed storage.
Cheers, Ian.
