I've seen Eurekas with Type 3 pancake engines in them. They fit well. I'd suggest a two litre Kombi Type 4 engine. In stock form they have twice the power of a Type 1 Beetle engine.

I suggest that you contact Vee Dub Center in Osborne Park. They are about to move their business back to the smaller premises that they used to occupy. They have pallet loads of engines to either move, sell or scrap. I'm sure that the price will be right at the moment. Their phone number is 9242 2808. Ask for John Cruickshank.

Also put a wanted ad for an engine on this forum.
