WTD - Wide Five Mags

Hello all - I am entertaining the idea of slapping some mag wheels on the dub...

Has any one got some wide five mags they are looking to sell - especially keen on BRM's.

Please let me know if you have anything!

Thanks

Jon, I tried this with a thread a few months back, to no avail.

Good luck though, you either have to buy new, or search hard me thinks....I'm still keeping an eye out for anything, but Black BRM's are what I'm hunting down for the oval....may just buy new soon, might be easier, but I was wanting them with a little used look to go with the rat theme!

Michael - I saw your thread a while back, and assumed you had no luck either... Black BRM's would look great on the oval!

I haven't enquired yet re. cost new, I thought that I would try here first for a cheap set of BRM / Empi 5's / Sprinstars - do you have any idea on good price new for a set?

ie. 15 x 5.5"

about $275-295 a wheel depending on the shop, plus freight, plus chrome studs etc.

I'm going to check out the prices in the US when I'm there in September, with our dollar being strong, I might be better off trying to swindle a good cash deal in person and getting them shipped back by cheap sea freight, might take 6 weeks or so, but could be a good saving. If not the US then I'm going to the Flat 4 shop in Tokyo on my 3 day stopover on my way home, see what they can do as our dollar is strong on the Yen aswell!

see how I go.

17in black BRMs would be the shit, would love 'em, but wouldn't like to sacrifice the wide 5 pattern to go to new beetle, I'd like to be able to switch between BRMs and stockies, and swap all between all the cars too!

Unless you could get wide 5 to new beetle 5 adapters made....mmm thoughts!
