My EJ20T powered GS LIMO buggy (in construction)

I've been building this buggy from the ground up for about a year now. I have been posting pics on the dunebuggy forums but thought its about time i posted it up in here.

My current buggy is a RAT buggy with an EJ20 engine (theres an old thread in here somewhere), and alothough its a fantastic little fun machine, I thought i could make an even better one, so here goes:

Specs:

Late model 76 chassis (Ball joint front, IRS rear)
Sharpbuilt GS limo long wheelbase body shell (been sitting in a paddock for years)
Sharpbuilt 2" Alloy Lift kit
Subaru EJ20T turbo 2L quadcam engine, rebuilt to standard specs.
bugat5speed alloy shortened sump
stock ecu using subaru wiring harness for the entire car.
2" stainless exhaust from manifold to turbo. 2.5" exhuast from turbo to catalytic converter and muffler.
Jeep Cherokee radiator with modified end tanks to suit
kombi 2litre gearbox with LSD (yet to be obtained)
Sharpbuilt VW-Subaru adaptor plate complete with 225mm clutch flywheel
Falcon EA brakes at the rear using Vforce custom rear hub flanges to use the falcon stud pattern.
Vforce front discs drilled in the same falcon 5*114.3 stud pattern, stock beetle reconidtioned callipers.
Hydraulic clutch using universal 3/4" master cylinder and CNC pull slave on the gearbox
OBX vinyl reclining seats.
Falcon AU fairmont dash cluster (just gotta finish figuring out how it works, then tweak the signals to suit)
LED lamps for indicators, brake tail and reverse.

Things to go in:

Water to air intercooler setup. With the radiator up the front
Alloy fuel tank c/w stock subaru intank fuel pump

The two buggies side by side. The limo with lift kit has a lot more clearance.

Steering column support bar which also holds the dash panel. This will also support the side intrusion bar to the back rollbarhoop.

Taking a mould off the Rat buggy sidepods. Becuase the rat sidepods are nice and wide, I will blend these into the Limo sidepods to be able to make a big air scoop at the side for the rear mounted radiator.

Hi

Nice work. Is that the GS supplied dash board in your car? I rekon it would look good in my 1303/L bug.

Gday Steve,

Yes that is the dash that comes with the GS buggy kit. You can probably buy them seperate though. Not sure if the sides will fit properly as they fit over the buggy shell, but its only made of fiberglass so you can modify it quite easily.

Its from a guy in germany, he is also a member of this forum, but not sure if he's still active. His web address is http://www.bugat5speed.de/cms/content/view/30/53/lang,en/

Price on the page is 340euros. I did a group buy with another member off this forum, and I think it ended up costing between $400-$500each all up. If your interested you could possibly see if anyone else is interested.
