John,
Great work, even down to the correct recess for the number plate. Having seen the original front apron at the workshop- the new one is a gem.
Sorry I missed you the other day.

John,
How close are you to having all the panels fabricated you need for your project?
What else is still in the works before you begin to weld the body?
When that times comes, I hope you will share pics with all of us of the final assembly of your CB body, and also provide text descriptions of how you
will go about the work, problems you encouter, and your solutions to those problems
You have done a remarkable job so far. I'm sure the final product will be just as impressive.
Regards,
Steve

This is a little OT, but speaking about impressive product, this is THE ONE. Formula Vee, which just out of box won two National tittles.

Steve,
this is going to be a bloody long project even though I'm putting all my spare time into it.
Front end is getting close to completion but there is still a lot to do.Next will be dashboard and partitions for glove box and instrument
cluster, cover of the steering column , bracket for brake fluid reservoir etc..
Before any assembly I need to finish the pan in the order of starting placing components in the right places. The sequence of assembly is still to be
worked out, I dont want to get caught by incorrect move...
This morning I've tried a dry assembly of the front parts, just to verify the fit and to see differences between beetle tank surround which I've
bought just for this reason.
I can use some parts of it, but as most of aftermarket repair panels this is a piece of crap,so I will make my own..
Thisi is an update to this day , will keep you in the picture..
John

John,
Remarkable......truly remarkable!
What a determined and focused fabricator you are, and what an ambitious project you have undertaken.
Great pic...........but not ever having seen the guts of a CB myself, I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at in the pic.
Enlighten me, if you would.
So.....is your plan to stop and work on the pan shortly, or are you going to continue on with body panel fabrication for now and attack the pan
later?
Any wild idea how long your restoration will take to complete???
Regards,
Steve

John,
I just found the flat4.org site and saw the rest of the "dry assembly" pics.
Wow. great stuff!
Is that a Czech website or just a menu option to display the text in Czech?

Thanks Steve, the problem is, that I've spent a lot of time on the Formula Vee project / picture above /, which made a progress on the CB project a
little slower...
