Yeah that sucks. We had the same thing happen to "The Dog"....it had the crappiest VW badge on the front that was siliconed in place. The Kombi was
parked only a couple of metres from the front door, and some scum knocked it off...

Halloween shits me! The streets are just full of fat little sugar loaded kids, and if they dont get what they want (even when they do) they vandalise
things! Load of american crap i reckon.
Heather, I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy's nose getting stolen, makes me so angry!

Could be worse, my bug had $2,500 of vandalism done to it outside a party 5 years ago or so. We have a good idea of who it was (some 'fully sic'
guys who were always giving me filthy looks, and tried to get into the party but weren't allowed), but no witnesses and/or other proof means we never
were 100% sure and couldn't take it any further. Needless to say I
was somewhat unimpressed when I saw it.

Welcome to the band of VW badge stolen members. Time to learn how to put minor levels of electrictity through your pride an joy without hurting it
(however rendering any person who touches it whilst "live" to void their bowels!!)
Sorry to hear about Daisy, can be a bitch trying to find teh right badge. Osama is still badgeless from Jan this year.

look at this thread! I am so glad I am not alone in my
grieving, yet saddened that it has to be. It's good to have a bit of a rant n let off steam amongst those whom understand. It's obviously a veedub
thing that those whom do not own one can't understand my anger..'meh..ooh thats too bad".....NO IT'S APPAULING I SAY! Yes the badge can be
replaced,, BUT someone came along under the cover of darkness and STOLE my kombi's NOSE, she's part of the family, my son came running in quite
upset to tell me her nose had been stolen (good boy, makes up for the outburst of giggling at the egging incident)... sheesh it's like barrelling
down a poor defenceless granny and taking her prosthetic leg! I am disgusted! For everyone whom has shared thier stories of diabolical dub molestation
and grievous bodily harm, my heart goes out to you! |

Hi all
Have to agree that halloween should be banned, Had my brand new hilux work ute and mail box graffitied the other night. luckily they left baja
untouched, sstill have to go to work and try to get shit off the new ute, probably will have to get repainted. Lucky i did not catch the little shits
or would have spray painted them and dropped off at the local police doorstep.

Seems the aussie interpretation has gone wayward!
Having been in the US for two halloweens, I havent seen any vandalism etc anywhere.
People dressed up and drunk, and kids trick or treating is about it...
I once had the pleasure of catching some kids stealing my valve caps, dont think they would have done it again....

Hi
Heather you must feel awful, these scum have invaded your space to do this. I think some people need only the slightest reason to go stupid. Halloween
is huge in Scotland when we were there 2 years ago, they had whole shops allocated to it.
If you get a new badge, attach it with magnets so that you can put it away if you feel the need, but then again why should you have to alter what you
do because of some low life's, hook up the 240 to the car and fry the shits
Steve

see what happens to you when you 'posh' types that live with those fab water views..
some poverty stricken 'cuz' may have merely 'borrowed it' to wear as bling down @ the local hood in order to get respect n such in gettin a hip
hop deal wif a big record label..
maybe they needed it more than you..?
no.. cut off their fingers..
after you find em n get the badge back..

I got's me eye on a coupla homless peeps livin in the park down the road, bet it was just outa pure spite coz I stashed my goonie cask inside not in
the wheel arch like i normally do (got sick of them syphoning the cask late at night). The little old lady who feeds the birds is the main suspect, I
reckon she is using it as a hotplate to cook beans over an open fire. |
