weber idf 40 query

hi guys,
someone give us a clue this is doing my head in!,
have balanced my dual twin weber idf 40's on a 1641cc
type 1 engine,using an empi gauge all the intake readings are balanced except for no1 cylinder,it is sucking at a lower mark on the gauge than the other 3,have tried alls orts of twiddling on mixture & idle.
have still to drop no1 plug out to inspect what it's burning like,
when i drove it the other week it died on me in the middle of a roundabout & struggled to start again,it felt like the motor was struggling to turn over a full cylinder of fuel????,facet fuel pump running at 3.5 pressure.
left it for 5 mins,started no probs,it feels like it's not running on song,jetting,venturi's are correct,it's running a 009 dizzy & petronix electronic ignition & flame thrower coil.all of a sudden it feels underpowered???
this a freshly reconditioned engine by the way.
will check plugs tomorrow...any pointers?:crazy::crazy:

Are you running a fuel pressure regulator with that electric pump. Carbs can be really sensitive to high fuel pressures.
