is this for a t4 to t1 conversion.
if so all you really need is the right flywheel.

no its the housing at the front of the box that the beetle nosecone and hockey stick bolts to so you can use a standard shifter and change gears like lightning!!!!!!

You need a quickshift thats fits under the gearstick not in the gearbox

it dosent make the gears shift quicker
it just gives you the increased strength of the Kombi gearbox in a Beetle

What I think he's wanting to do is use a Type 2 box for strength with a Type 1 shift mechanism for speed shifting, like dangerous has done on his drag bug, as per the photo...

Bergs have no stock and no date for said item.

I purchased a LanD billet version.(around $650 by the time it landed)
I also have one of the other ones off Samba(spare not for sale) that are a copy of Bergs casting.(about$550 landed).

Both took ages to get the ball rollig but are apparently in stock now.

This item converts the bus linkage under the nose cone, back to beetle forks and shift rods.
Massive imrovement in shift quality.

Yeah what Dangerous said.
I'm also thinking of getting one real soon, or Dave what do you think of Renault un5 as a serious option?

Ihave no personal experience with the UN5 but believe they hav a 5.8 diff which would be pretty low for all but off-road appications.

Also worth mentioning that those intermediated housings are not meant for the 2lt tranny.
A 8mm spacer(among other things) would be required.

Are you going for 091 bus box as a base Mac?

If so, perhaps use a bug intermediate housing bolted to 8mm plate for a conversion housing?

Some bolts may over lap, but i am sure if the pieces were in front of you,
you could weld or bolt something together?
