w00t Lismore NSW......again....

why would u wanna live in the big ol boring city when u can live here where if its not one natural disaster its another...
we've had almost a week solid of steady rain and in the last 24hrs over 6" has fallen in ballina

well i had to evacuate work early today but even in the hour it took to get everything ready the water had crossed the road in several spots
got my feet wet on the drive home tho
thank god someone thought to install removable rubber plugs in the floor of cars these days

Hi

That's the price of living in paradise, hell comes to town sometimes, at least there's no hail this time. Keep dry and safe everyone.

depending on how high it gets can be several weeks.
atm the pumps are running which is keeping the water out of the CBD and the flood levy pushes it all over the otherside of town
but once it gets to a set level they have to get eveyone out of the CBD and open the floodgates
i was down town stickybeaking one year when they did that the water comes up that fast its dangerous if u dont get out in time

just came back from dinner definately a good metre or so higher than midday today. When coming back out around 8ish it was probably a teeny bit higher. THe showgrounds don't get too effected by the rivers i think, just the flats there. But no water over Tweed/Dunoon Rd at the showgrounds..
