has anybody had any experiance with electric windows in a bug?

i have seen the kits in the shops here for around 189ukp thats err quick calc 529 aussie bucks :P

But how easy are they to fit and how reliable are they the kit claims to come with everythng switches, wire etc, i fancy them scince my normal handle winders are seized solid annoyingly one down and one up  could get the normal winders for $35 but fancied the fancy electric ones

I've fitted a set to my car and a set to another guys car. The kit is $330 from Autostrada in Brisbane.

The kit I have uses the stock window regulator, so if your windows are sticking the electric window kit won't help. You'd just burn out the electric window motor instead of your arm. It sounds like you need new bailey channels and possibly new regulators.
