TYPE 181
Hello, I have lately been very keen on type 181s, Whats the best way to get my hands on one? i cant afford much at all. Is it a crap idea to get 1
from the U.S? does no one like L.H.D? can u get conversions to R.H.D?
Cheers, Rowan

Here in WA Type 181s or Things are called Bali Buggies, because that is the nearest source of them.
I believe that it is difficult, complicated and expensive to get one out of Bali and to Oz.
Obviously it can be done, but I have no idea how one would go about it.
You may need to go to Bali, find one and start the export process there.
No matter what that cost it would have to be cheaper than bringing one from the US or Mexico where they were built and you would get a holiday in Bali
to boot.
As to conversion to RHS you would need to see an engineer about that.

I think $8k is a pretty good price actually. quite cheap really. a decent buggy would cost that.
