Jumps out of first

I tried dropping the clutch on the dirt the other day and it popped out of first. What does this mean? Only does it when i try and drop the clutch.

Thanks for your time,
Simon

you may need to ajust your shifer sharft or replace the sharft bush what happens is the gear does not go all the way into gear you can try the shifter put it in nutral than loosen the 4 bolts that hold the stick down when there loose put the stick into 2nd gear and while holding it in tighten down the bolts this may work
good luckl

Try 1600dp
How much would chaning the bushing cost? would it be hard? How long would it take? I have spent too much money on fixing this car. Thanks for the idea of adjusting it. Will give that a go on Monday.

Thanks for your time
Simon

ps. Any other suggestions or does this sound right to everyone?

Gear box mounts, shifter adjustment/bushes.
Otherwise gears are worn/box needs rebuild!
Even a fresh (overhauled) box could do it if not assembled perfectly.

I would concentrate on the mountings.

I had a similar problem with the mountings. The origional bushes were stuffed and the gearbox would actually move forwards/backwards depending on acceleration/deceleration.
The part is only about $30 or thereabouts, the labour is the real killer as from memory, the engine needs to come out and it is a fiddly job.

Front trans mount can normally be replaced w/out removing donk, but a tricky operation, and one I probably wouldn't attempt w/out a hoist and dak dak expierence.
