[FS - QLD] 1960/61 Split Cab Ute *SOLD*

Sellers name - Nick
Contact No. - 0422 721 253
Suburb/postcode - Wilston/Grange, Brisbane
Item description - 1960/61 Split Cab Ute
Condition - Solid, Straight, Ratty.
Item cost - $11000

where to begin. ive changed my mind yet again. why? i can see myself throwing more and more money at this car as i have little self-control. 17" escras, tubbing, 4" flipped spindled k/l conversion, straight axle rear etc etc. the idea was for the split to just be my "cool" daily to uni and yet all i want to do is drop it on its guts and put a 2.3L type 4 in it. all points to $ which i am no longer earning.

cab is mostly matt black with some gloss black. rust in usual areas has been cut out properly and replaced with metal by previous owner in victoria. body is straight, gates are straight but have been chopped up where they rust out in places. front beam is a 68 ball joint running wide 5 drums (beams from what i can gather are rather sought after)

interior is clean. white vinyl seat. has kenwood mp3 stereo + speakers.

bits that will go with the sale:
- sunvisor (as on cab when purchased)
- bull bar (as on cab when purchased)
- 4 near new low profile tyres. 195/55/15s i think.
- straight axle kit formerly used on the cab
- k/l beam, spindles, wide 5 brakes

have spent $ in the last month on:
- timing/tune & new points done by CVD
- reduction boxes have been regasketed by CVD
- change to qld rego (rego till jul 08)

+ shipping expenses and misc elec issues sorted.

the bits are there to slam it (bar rear type 3 brakes).
i have spent the $ getting it up to scratch. all someone need do is change ownership and enjoy. has been a blast to drive over the last month. people stop and stare in amazement. am yet to refuel without someone coming over for a good half hour chat. latest one was crew for peter keegan around the time he ran his 10.72 which was actually pretty interesting.

more pics to follow. this is to give you an idea. would prefer sell here than ebay.

This is a pretty tidy and solid SC, realistically all it needs is some droppage and some nice wheels and it would be a very cool, ratty cruiser!

or keep it and just buy some adaptors and stick your 16in Fuchs on it......DO IT!
