1970 type 3 squareback
a few pics of my 1970 type 3 squareback.
Bought it a few weeks ago.
it has been restored about 15 years ago, with a good looking emrald green metalic paint job that looks to have been garaged all its life. the paint is
in great nick.
new carpets, rubbers, etc. has monza sports seats, tinted windos, mildly lowered on empi mags, a 1776 twin kadrons, extractors, quicktrack security
system.
It could do with some new air cleaners for the kadrons & a tuneup, a small tidy up in parts of the interior, but all in all, its in very good
nick.
Im a bit of a subaru nut, also owning a early modified wrx, which has seen a bit of club level motorsport over the years, but its motorsport days are
on hold for the time being after a few to many breakages, & the $$$ spent on brakes & tyres & engine rebuilds was sending me broke.
Will be keeping it aircooled for the time being, but will be seriously looking @ a ej20t conversion in a few years time.
ive got my old ej20g long motor from my wrx sitting in a mates garage
that may get another life in the type 3.
dont have the coin for that atm, so will be just enjoying it as it is.

Hi Mike,
Nice car. On my puter though, it comes up very blue. Maybe i need to adjust the settings on my monitor.
We have a nice early square, well he (Tazz) does... i just get to ride shotgun sometimes.
He will prolly post a pic soon enuf. He loves to show it off.
Cheers

The colour does look on the blue side in those pics.
i have taken a few pics & none seem to get a true match of the colour.
my camera fails to capture the metalic reflective qualities of the paintwork.
imo it looks much better in real life.
I sent freinds some pics via email & when they saw it in person, they all commented on how much better it looks compared to the pics.
anyway, you get a bit of an idea with these pics.
maybee its my poor photography skills, & cheap digi cam.
anyway, thanks for the kind comments & would love to see a pic of Tazz's squareback.

Actually I love all our cars, they have very different personalities. Edith is my princess...the golf, now known as jenny is just such a hoot. think
go cart on steriods. Kermit goes like he is bolting from hell, but i sometimes think thats tazz' driving
The square is such a steady kinda guy. Nice and stable, but he goes faster than expected.
We also have a SC kombi, a notch, a another square... the last two being projects.
if u need help with anything just ask. there are enough people here who love type threes and want to see them kept on the road.
cheers
