Hole saw party!!!

Hey everyone...

Stumbled across these photos from the Remmele workshop in Germany.

http://www.keversite.nl/fotoalbum/my_photos.php?id=3653
It seems the guy loves to attack an otherwise healthy chassis with a hole saw!!!
It's a mod that I have considered in the past but have always been too afraid of hacking into the wrong sections and ending up with just more scrap metal.
I would be interested to know what you guys think of such methods of weight reduction (can't be too much saved, but every little bit helps) vs weakening the tunnel, and if partial to the idea, where would be the best spots to start drilling?

Cheers,
Cam

Horsepower v's weight equals speed if hp is higher and weight is lower. Maybe safer to increase hp a bit.

every bit counts!!! there is a handy tool that makes a swage around a round hole that adds a bit of strength back to the area, but you need to be able to get at both sides of the panel. good old SPEED HOLES
