whats carbs on a datsun l18 into a vw??


hi gang
risky's back :D
i have a nice L18 rebuild from a rally car
and want to build into a buggy
i know i need an adaptor but just wanted to know
what carbs i should look for i was thinking dual 40mm to 45??
what do you think??

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you are going to use it for tight twisty off road or khanacross or motokhana work then twin SU carbies are the best. I have run off road buggies as well as some of my rally datsuns with SU's and I found these preformed very well in the khana/motokhanacross' as they are vacume operated and dont flood. Other wise it depends on how wild your engine is but 40 or 45 dcoe carbies would work.
