Bits wanted and for sale
Hi all,
Back after a year or two's absence.
Got lotsa Bay Kombi bits for sale, all doors, some needing work, a couple of dashes, instrumentation, 1800 gearbox, too much to list, need to get it
out from underfoot.
Get in touch with what you need and I'll get back yes or no and we can work out a price.
Also I need a pair of wide four stud rear wheels for a Baja Bug project, condition is largely immaterial as long as they're in good sound condition,
with or without tyres.
See ya,
Ian
P.S. I'm in Maryborough, SE Qld.

Cheers Guys,
Pod, I was thinking of fifteens, but the price is right on the 14's, so get back re payment method and shipping details if you would, consider them
sold.
Matberry, I have two dash pads, one rough, one with small crack in the centre. I'll take some pics of them and other bits and post them later when
the batteries for the digicam are charged. Excuse my ignorance, what are walk through pads? I'm a four year happy Kombi owner and have never come
across them???
Cheers,
Ian

Quarter windows
Hiya Mat54,
Just found your PM. I hafta reply here as I have to get five posts up before I can PM anybody. I presume by quarter windows you mean the small ones in
the front doors? I have a couple in some doors that are in good nick, would prefer not to split them at this stage.
I'll be taking pics later (flat batts in the digicam).
I may have some others, will have a scout around and get back.
Cheers,
Ian

Walk thru pads, like the dash pads but each side of the walk thru, behind the front seats.

Well let's see now, always a bit nervous posting pics

The ol' blue one is complete, a lot of rust around the windscreen, not bad elsewhere. I bought it as a doer-upper and then got sidetracked. Will sell
complete, offers, if not I'll part it out.
No walk through pads I'm sorry, but there's a pic of the two dash pads I have. The manky one I'll sell for 10 bucks, the better one for twenty.
There's a quarter window in that bogged up door I'd be prepared to remove, and there's a quarter window glass and possibly rubber surround in
amongst the stuff on the shelves. Dunno about prices, make an offer
The yellow doors are all good, tiny amount of rust only (less than 1cm), all locks and sliders are fine also.
There are two 1800 starter motors, wiper motors and linkages, and a couple of sets of windows, generally with rusty frames and old rubbers.
Cheers Pod, get back when you've got some details for me, no rush, the proj is at the "OK, I've got all enthusiastic with the angle grinder, now
I'd better get to work", stage.
Bye y'all

Here's the stuff on the shelves

I always was a hoarder, but I've gotta get shot of this stuff.
There are a couple of stock 14" five stud Kombi wheels under there as well

I'd like to take some off ya hands.
The better dash pad for 20, a wiper assy, a rh fixed front door 1/4 vent, a rh window regulator if you got one, and maybe the late instrument pod if
you know it works.
Thanks Bushed for the offer, see what happens.
Cheers

OK Matberry, no probs,
How about 50 bucks for the dash pad, wiper assembly, and RH quarter window and regulator, and I'll send the instrument pod as well, say 20 bucks if
it's a goer, zilch if not. Can't say fairer than that. I'm assuming by regulator you mean the track the window runs up and down in? If you're
happy with that I'll PM you with bank details. If Bushed is up here twice a week, that might be a good way to get the stuff to you, otherwise I'll
courier it
Cheers,
Ian

What year are those yellow doors off , if there 77> ill take the good left hand one and also the slider if its good.
The front doors are year identified by the hinge type and how they bolt to the body and if 77> they will have the thread in the hinge or if early
type they will have countersunk holes , please check and get back to me
Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel

Sorry Towdster, looks like the doors are the earlier ones, I think around '72ish. The slider's in good nick, if it'll do the trick get back,

kombi_kid,
tried to PM you back, but it said you didn't exist???? I'd rather keep those yellow doors complete for now mate, although I'd consider dismantling
them if others wanted glass, internals etc out of them.
Stay in touch,
Ian

Happy with all that, but window regulator is the mechanism that controls the wind up glass. Please, if you could check it winds up ok, and we can
organise payment etc.

Matberry, the winder mechanism on that bogged up door doesn't work real well, although the glass is fine. The one in the yellow door works fine, and
as kombi_kid wants the mirror I might even dismantle that door yet. Or if Dashed has space I'll just take off the mirror and send the door.
Cya,
Ian

No worries mate,
I've just PM'd bushed re space available. I could even take a run down there myself if it came to that, I'd just ask petrol money in that case, or
if you're gonna be up this way on the 20th., I'd be fine with that as well. Up to you mate,
Cya,
Ian

If bushed has space. that may make it happen quicker, but no major hassle each way.

All sweet guys, you should have PM's re arrangements.
kombi_kid, still can't get a PM through to you, but those mirrors will be available, say 30 bucks the pair. They're in pretty reasonable nick.
Cheers,

Sorry no headrest Paul, the seats I had were in bad nick, so they were victims of an earlier cleanout.
Forgot to mention earlier, I have a straight Bay steering wheel, no cracks,
