12v wiper motor Q's

My old wiper motor is moving verrrrrry slooooow, and mainly due to lack of lubrication. It's the original one on the bug (70).

I want to know where would you normally lubricate it? Also has anyone had experience rebuilding these?

I am thinking it might be time to give it a good clean and overhall.

Thanks
Rob

Thats not rust, it's ah ... orange primer ... yep that's what it is ...

I think yourright.
Any friction at the armature slows the motor to a crawl. Remove it for a proper clean up and lube.

Hi

Take the spindles apart, give them a clean and grease. Sometimes the brush springs become overheated and loose tension as well.
