EMPI 5's on a big nut bus

I am putting some EMPI 5 spokes (Rocket Industries ones) on my stock 65 bus with 46mm reductions. The fronts go one fine, but the rears foul on the ribbing at the centre of the drum.

Can anyone tell me should I be machining the drum down near the ribs, or using a die grinder to clearance the back of the EMPI. There is info about showing the machining a front drums snout but thats for pre 64 buses.

Thanks

Steve
