[FS - NSW] 1971 VW FASTBACKS (X 2) FOR SALE
FOR SALE
ROB HAMER
CASTLE HILL 2154 NSW
unregistered.
Here's a great opportunity for someone to take over this project car.
The plan was to prepare a Variety Bash car for August's Blacktown to Batemans Bay Bash. (I rallied Beetles and A Fastback in the late 60's). We then
considered abandoning using this car and acquiring something else as it seems to me that it has great potential as a restorer.
I'm forced to sell now anyway as we have bought a business on NSW's Mid North Coast which prevents us going on with it. (we won't have any room nor
time for a year or two!).
There are TWO 1971 VW fastbacks. One is per the photographs and has had a heap of work done including rust removal, strengthening of the rear engine
mounts and preparation (lots of tinware) to take a Type 4, 2 litre motor (which doesn't affect installation of a normal 1600 or worked engine).
The second car is complete (except for motor and gearbox) though pretty much dismantled. The body has too much rust for easy repair but THE ROLLING
PAN IS EXCELLENT. Many of the guards, doors etc. are reasonable rust repairs as spares for the other (the boot lid and bonnet are excellent. The body
is still on the pan though ready to lift off. For removal from my garage some pan/body bolts refitted. It has 14 inch 6 slot alloy wheels and Nissan
buckets.
I'll do whatever i can to assist interstate transportation (I brought one from Adelaide and one from Brisbane).
I'm asking $500 the lot and need it gone by the end of May.
For any questions or to view please give me a call on 0418 673 719.

Hi again,
Getting to a point where I need these gone. I'm going to get rid of the rusty body to the scrap guys. Anyone interested in the pan. It's in great
condition and it's real cheap and that will at least gain me one car space in the garage. Give me a call 0418 673 719. |
