I had a dual stage turbo smart so I could switch between 12 and 17 on the dash...It started playing up after a while and now have a GFB also. If you have silly money then get a digitally controlled one...you can have them programmmed for different boost in different gears and revvs. Also control water sprays etc. $500 approx.

The autronic ECU my brother is running on his Type 3 has boost control settings programmed into it. we will utilise the 2 stage boost set up like having a boost controller with a switch to have either 8 psi or 20psi. Can also set it up to set boost in each gear which could be good to avoid tranny expiration LOL
