Oval

Purchased this car in pretty good condition around 6 months ago (some of you may recognise it from the “buying, selling & swapping cars” section of this site). I’ll try to add some progress photos as I go.
Feel free to post your ideas and suggestions as I go . . . . . :dork:

Dude. I am doing a resto as well and it is amazing what you find once you start stripping back. Mine wasn't to bad, but it still had a couple of patches. Good luck with it

Cheers

- Window, door and bonnet seals, new vent windows and some axel boots.
Still waiting on a few other goodies including 12V semaphores :-)

12V semaphores arrived yesterday (I love these things). The plan is to get them flashing with the blinkers which will be mounted to the bumper. Does anyone know where I can get some quality indicators that aren't $350!

A CD player was mounted there so I’m guessing it was cut out to feed the wires through. When it was painted last someone “patched” the hole with fabric and painted over the top.
I haven’t decided how I am going to fix it yet.

Combination of orbital sander and sanding block.

After LOTS of practice on sheet metal I have repaired 4 of the 5 rust spots. Not sure how to repair the split in the metal under the driver’s window.

All the red 2pac paint is off (some area to bare metal some just back to the original paint). All areas have been treated and I hope to lay the first coat of primer in a couple of weeks.

I will have to remember to bring the camera home from work so I can take some photos.

It’s a daily driver (and mainly on country roads) so the plan was to go with an acrylic paint.

After talking it up that it would "start first go" after sitting for 7 months I am please to say (to the horror of my mates) that after kicking over for a while it fired up and sounds Great!

looking forward to stretching her legs on the 2.5 hour drive down south.
