cut springs..... how ghetto
lost any fillings or bottom of ur strut inserts yet??
if u want a free way to drop super front end thats safer and gives a better ride then just lower the bottom spring cup. we all cut springs when we're
young and stupid and dont know any better but reweldign bottom spring cup made night and day difference b4 i made the smart choice and went
adjustables
beetleproject, im sure its probably in all of those links barls posted but just get some adjusters welded into the front beam and drop the back 1
click
that gives u the freedom to tweak the height later

well... when u say we all cut the springs when we were young and stupid
i say i'm 17 as for stupid I've already put the engine out twice trans once and that's only on my beetle... i pulled out magna eng and trans and
also a hyundai excel (they both stupid car)
beetle was the easiest thing to work on. and i've only got my car for a year and i don't think i will buy anything else unless i have too much
money
so i'm not that stupid but just lazy altho stupidity cannot be measured by the amount of work you've done o well i don't need to prove myself

dont take it heart
young and stupid is just a phrase altho the stupid part comes in as the safety issue of driving on cut springs
the point i was tryuing to make is if ur in a serious accident were someone is seriously hurt or killed the police investigators thoroughly inspect
the car and if its found ur driving on cut springs which is classed as as a dangerous modificaton they will throw the book at u and any insurance
would be void which is the last thing u want if u cause an accident that kills someone
i can tell u this cos it happened to a mate who had the typical bogan cut springs in his commodore
good on u for working on ur car at a young age
its the best way to learn about them
thats how i did to, my first bug was a christmas present from my parents when i was 13 and i found out how a bug worked by tearing it bits and
rebuilding it
i know guys in there late 20s that cant even change a tyre and ppl think thats only a girl thing ....

thanks for that joel
i do really do understand your point. it's a bit hard being a teenager and do proper non illegal mod but i try to as much as the budget would allow
me. lowering the cups is something that i know i should and would only do on a spare pair of struts. i can't list all the things i would do properly
if i have stable income. all i have to work on my car is around $ 150 a fortnight and over the year i mainly spent the money on worn suspensions and
steering components. so far would have been like $ 2000 (my parents helped a bit within the first few months. before they realise that it is a
neverending project) on the car that's not including the new engine i'm building.
i know young and stupid is just a phrase but u know us teenagers we do try our best on a good comeback
