I asked same question but with no response. Did get told though that they have no port work at all done to them.

Craig.

Got two sets from Rod Penrose at a good price. Both are 40 x 35.5 stainless vales with single hi rev springs.

One set is on a 1776 street engine, stock cam and stock rocker geometry, single PICT 34 with 009 distributor with breakerless ignition. Genie extractors and custom muffler by one of the local guys. Very driveable and torquey street engine which revs freely to the rev limiter (4500) without any dramas at all. I know thats not a big rev but the engine goes there any time I want it to and hopefully it will last me out.

Second set is on a 1916 street engine, Engle 100 cam, dual kadrons, genie extractors and another custom muffler. 009 distributor. Breakerless ignition. This one revs to reve limiter (5400) without any dramas. Again its not a big rev for a performance engine but I just need something thats gonna keep up and this engine does that with no worries. Again hopefully it will see me out.

They seem to flow very well. They also seem to be of fairly good quality, with stainless steel valves all round I think they are good value for money if you dont want to spend a bomb on a reasonable street head.

Ring Rod Penrose if you want some more info. He recommended them to me after he saw them on one of his many trips to the states and I got no complaints whatsoever.

Ticky Simon

You are right. They have no port work at all. My heads cc'd out at 52cc each side and the machine work for a stock looking head is OK.

Oh yeah. I forgot. I just put a set in a mates 1835 Karmann Ghia, but these didnt have stainless valves for some reason. Maybe they changed spec. I bought mine two or three years ago. Stock everything with dual kads. Its a nice strong engine.
