1835, Weber DCNF40 jetting
Hey guys I'm currently running a single DCNF40 with 30mm vents. I have some 32mm was wondering what jet combos was a good starting point so I can
run these.
The engine has a mild cam of unknown specs and a 1 5/8 merged exhaust thats going on next week. Oh and it has MSD 6AL with the Blaster 2 Coil with a
009. Compression is about 8:1.
Recommendations anyone?

That DCNF was jetted for a 1776 some years ago by Akses Carbies, so it shouldnt be too far off. How is it running currently?

According to "How to Hotrod VW Engines",
the 32mm venturi should use a 130 main jet,
and between a 1.70 and 1.85 air corrector.
Thi will depend on your emulsion tube, F25 and F33 respectively.
If yours is running fine at the moment you should not have to go more than 0.05 at a time on the main,
and/or 0.10 up or down on the air jet to keep things in check.
It would be nice to get an exhaust probe or sensor up there and make it correct.

Its not to far off as it sits, but if I dont use 98 octane it defiantly pings.
The engine seems really restricted at the moment, once I hit like 2800RPM Its stops accelerating, it'll keep reving but not hard, I suspect thats the
exhaust. I'm just waiting for the guy next door to fix it up with the welder for me.

with those specs and that compression it should run happilly on reg 91 unleaded
sounds like ur timing might be abit off too
is that the old 1835 kit i sold u?
when i ran those the compression was 9.2
it ran twin DCNs on reg 91 with 125 mains
what size are ur mains and airs?
32mm vents would be better suited to 1835

Two of them are two of tem arent, the engine is a mixed bag of shagged stuff.
The timing is at 30 degrees all in.
