Autogage monster tacho

Need to confirm a few things if anyone can help.
Bought a autogage monster tacho from ebay all good. No wiring instructions though.Four wires coming out from rear of tacho body.
Red, is this power?
Black ,is this earth?
Green,is this msd tach output?
White, is this accessory light for tacho ie night use.

Also how do you set for four cylinder use?,there is 2 orange and 2 brown wires coming out of rear of tacho body.

Lastly, to set rpm shift light there are 2 dials on the front, how are they set.
Thanks for any info.

Cheers Col

Colin, I will have a look at mine for you. From memory you need to cut some wires for 4 cyclinder.

Give me a call tonight to remind me !

autogauge not autometer

green is always coil input and red black- power & earth obviously
as craig said usually u have to cut the wires for 4cyl
u leave them connected for 8cyl
but id find out 4sure b4 u cut them

does it have the buttons for setting the shift point or twist type knobs?
autogauge monster tachs come in both styles

the twist knobs all u do is set it to the revs u want the shift light to work
the push button type hit the mode button till SET led lights up
press up or down to set the needle to the shft point then hit mode again to go back to tacho mode

hth

your colours are right for wiring it up.

You cut both wires (brown and orange) for 4cyclinder. I did mine about 2mnths ago. Autometer autosport range.

Cheers
