Info about Switch on back of tach
Howdy
I am putting in an after market tacho so I can check whether the factory one is reading wrong .
it is all wired up and working but there is a switch on the back
On the left side it reads
4-4
2-2
then on the right side it reads
4-6
2-3
When it is on the right side at idle it reads 550rpm
on the left side it reads 950
anyone have an idea which side to put it on?
Going by the sound of the engine I would think the right side but this is me and I am not right that often

What type (brand) tach? The numbers usually indicate the cycle and cylinders (4 for 4 stroke, 2 for 2 stroke/rotary). I would guess 4-4 is 4 stroke,
4 cylinder.
