If you have a day, drive to York and have a look at the York Motor Museum, home of the Peter Briggs collection.
It is home of the famous 1946 VW Beetle that was brought to Australia by the Haenel family in 1951. It was bought back by VW Australia in 1961 and
promoted as the oldest and first Volkswagen brought to this country, when VW Australia had just made the 100,000th Australian VW. VW Australia owned
the car until 1985 when it was sold off.
Lots of other nice cars there too.
