need some help with brakes and cv joints
I need some help identifying some parts for my spyder kit car build
I need to know what type of brakes can fit on - I am having trouble getting the calipers and also in particular the brake pad carriers
Also, I cant find out what type of wheel bearings these are. I want to buy some cvs that match.

I really want another set of these, exactly the same. Calipers and carriers. Carriers are proving the difficult bit to locate, and obviously, they
need to match each other

here are the wheel bearings off the back
they are on the back of this car, but they are not necessarily rear wheel bearings , they may have come off the front
my neighbour reckons they are audi 4000 parts. I m not so sure what they are, so I need your help
pics of the bearings below. I need to know what cv joints will fit these. I am tipping that they are fairly standard units

Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but on the bottom left of the caliper is an ATE logo.... have you tried their site ???
From the photo's they look to be single piston sliders... something FIAT maybe ??? Also try popping the pads out and see what info is on them - might
be able to figure out what the caliper is that way.
As for changing to a different setup, well knowing the spacing between the mounting holes would be the starting point....

yeah, I can find the calipers ok, but I am having difficulty find the pad carriers at all, and i need for them to match the calipers.
I have found the ATE ones, but no where at all can I find the carriers.
If I knew what model they were off I would be ok so that I could start ringing suppliers, or even wreckers. At the moment I have only the sites on teh
internet, none of which I can find the carriers on.
As for the cv joints, I think that they will be a generic unit and I m almost ready to take the risk and order a set just to see if they fit. Problem
is shipping will be more than the parts themselves and I want to do my best to get it right.
My plan was to get some upgraded (drilled and vented) discs on the front and also some (maybe drilled only) on the rear. I can keep the same
caliper/carrier set up that I already have, but I need a new set as well as the car only came with the fronts.
I can use the exact same set on the rear as what I already have, I just cant find the damn things, nor do I know enough about them to be able to
describe exactly what I am after to a vendor.
I think they are either Audi 4000 or 5000, but that is only a best guess at this stage........
