Give us a bit more warning next time Colin.
I raced in Tamworth in about 1993, it was a great week end.

Hey rose, no you do not have to pre enter just turn up.
Yes apparently there are people camping there on Saturday night i will however just drive on Sunday morning.
Only 50 min from sunny Tamworth to Gunnedah.
Details.
Saturday scrutineer 7am-10am and 1pm-2pm,
test and tune 10.30am-4pm.
Sunday scrutineer 7am-8.30am
racing 9am-approx 3.30pm
Cost for the weekend is only $90.00, you should get 3-4 runs on Sunday morning to help get a feel for grip levels etc before you have to nominate a
dial in time.
Then racing starts when you,ll get approx 3-4 more runs depending on numbers.
They class the cars in time brackets, i think from memory it is under 8sec then 8-10.5 sec then 10.5 and slower.
Contact details Steve Murden 0401 507 559
Bill Ausling 0428 454 502
Can,t think of anything else if you want to know more ring these people or pm me.
Cheers Col

I had a few wins very hot I beat a v8 ford, 3ltr turbo toyota and a torana. I raced a turbo nissan in my first elimination and I brock out I dialed
in a 10.75 and I did a 10.602 the nissan dialed in a 10.000 and did a 10.000.
My best run was on the Sat at practice 10.560 I had heaps of fun beating the ford as all his mates where taking the piss out of him that a beetle
beat him and I said and a girl as well.
I was a bit nervious up there without all the vw guys around to give me pointers
I thought you guys would like the end shot lol

Glad you enjoyed the weekend Rose, i had lots of people tell me they loved the "little red window beetle"
The club is planning on March as the next meet so i will post a reminder next year, and they loved having a few beetles to keep the v8,s on there
toes.
Adam in the other black beetle had a gearbox breakage but not serious. He is hoping to get it repaired and make a few changes for next event.
Personally my car went great all day and i made it threw to the final were i threw it away with a slowwwwww reaction time. Oh well i had some great
races hosing v8,s to get to the final.
Cheers Col

Best time was a 8.82 at 79.6 mph first run of the day
The day got humid and hot after that and the car lost that edge.
But man i loved hosing those v8,s, they just can,t understand that a beetle can drive past them.
Cheers Col
