its a wonder the wiper motor didn't blow a fuse...
so I believe the wiper motor may be working OK
but the wiper mechanism is badly worn...
You will have to take the assembly out, starting by undoing the nuts behind the wiper arms...
undo the motor and pull the assembly down and out..
You will then need to know if Your wipers are Left hand or Right handed...
take the assembly off the wiper motor and get another assembly in better condition..
You can buy the spindles etc new in the USA , not sure about over here,
cheers

I know this is going to sound wierd, but it's not left or right, it's centre, only one wiper mounted from the centre on a Kalita, I'm willing to
bet it's not even a vdub wiper motor as I just looked under and it dosn't look like any that have been advertised on this forum. Thanks for the info
so far, looks like i"ll have to remove it and see what I can find.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!
