Congratulations Adam Debiasi / Dean Hoskings
The classic Adelaide rally was held here in Adelaide last week and I just wanted to say congrats to Adam and Dean who came first in there class and
22nd? outright.
I saw 5 stages throughout the weekend and the beetle looked to be going very strong.
Also saw a unfortunate off into a small inbankment but everything seemed to be ok.

thanks heath- car went like a rocket and felt unbreakable the hundreds of hours of development time over the last 12 months really paid off. We came
7 th place in the classic comp class( pre 1974 cars) only beaten by a few porches and some powerful v8s- but before the off we were in 3rd place just
behind rick bates in a porsche. we came 1st in our capacity class and 22nd overall. Thanks to everybody in the vw scene who came out and supported us
makes all those nights in the shed worth it.Starting to get ready for next year already- cant wait

I saw a snippet on the TV of the off into the inbankment and the headlight falling off (?). I hoped it wasn't representative of the overall effort.
Good to see a VW kicking arse!

For those of you out side of SA and who dont know Adam & Dean (the 2 drivers)i just wanna say these guys are AMAZING behind the wheel.
To get the results they get out of that car and i gotta say the car is turned out beautifuly, a great effort with alot of time put in to it.
the V8 Capri that was beating it, is a super big budget car with handpicked & professional drives, and this VW was kicking its arse, just
unfortunate for the couple of little miss haps, and same deal with the porches, big dollar, professional backed racing cars.
you give this VW a 5 speed box and a couple of other litte improvements and you are looking at a 1st place contender for the overall event.
Adam & Dean are trully amazing behind the wheel and both have a true tallent for driving.
Its great to hear drivers of other cars, worth 10 times the budget of the VW, say openly that they cant believe how hard that "little bug" goes.
these guys really kick arse, and do them selves & every VW owner proud.
i cant waith till next year, as i am sure they will be all over it.
well done guys, and i think a round of beers on me at Volksfest this Sunday. HUGE EFFORT !!!
