Choose your petrol brand
In the days before petrol stations were 'one brand only', many of the independents gave you a choice of petrol brands, using multiple pumps.
This is the Metro Motors petrol station in Adelaide, taken in 1951. The pump brands they offered were Golden Fleece, Plume (Vacuum, later Mobilgas),
Ampol, Power Chief (later Caltex), and COR (Commonwealth Oil Refineries).

Apparently the corporations began controlling their outlets from about 1952, when they started becoming 'branded' outlets.
Here's another multi-brand station, from Magill (Adelaide), around 1950.

It's actually a base model XK 1960.
The upmarket model had chrome trim around the scalloped part of the panel. The XM had a chrome strip down the middle (similar to the type 3's but
much wider).
If you can't fix it with a hammer,
you have an electrical problem....
