Licensing Question

Hi Guys,

Has anyone heard of a change to WA licensing that is going to require an emissions test prior to registration (or removal of a yellow sticker?).

Cheers

Newt

I hope not...

I doubt if they would go to that much trouble in Kalgoorlie.... lol

they do that is some states in the USA...

I don't believe they can do that to old cars...

as beetles wouldn't pass any test.... lol

The idea is for cars fitted with pollution equipment, that it is all hooked up and working. On most older cars the gear is ether disconnected or the charcoal canister is stuffed. So they would want you to replace these and any other bits that have stopped working.

Just another way to get more old cars off the road.
