copper brake lines
Hi guys
I have been starting to uncover the contents of my 550 spyder kit. One of the discoveries has been the use of copper brake lines.
I have been warned by another person who is building a similar car that they must be replaced with steel lines at all costs, and have read articles
stating the same.
I am not an expert in the area, and as always the more research you do, the more different opinions you uncover.
Any of you guys have experience in the area or recommendations?
all opinions welcome.

Are you sure it is copper. "Bundy" tube is a common brake line material - it is copper plated steel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundy_tube
If it is copper - replace it with bundy tube.

Pretty much what the thread that barls has put up says... to be really sure of being able to get it registered, use steel "bundy" tubing. Yes you
_might_ be able to get through with copper lines, but I doubt anyone would knock you back with steel/bundy lines.
If rego isn't important to you (like for a track only car) even so CAMS says no copper tubing except for historic (5th category) cars.... (Schedule
