stupid nuts!!
anyone have any special tricks to getting the breather nut out of the oil well/generator stand? As far as i can see it should just screw out with a
little bit of tricky improvisation (and much ruining of kitchen tools)... But it wont budge. At All!
:cry
any suggestions, alterations or well directed curses are much appreciated! |

Try some garage tools, you talking about the breather gland nut?Grab the oil filler assembly with two hands and twist to break the rust sealing it
together, then you have to make a tool to fit inside the filler,as big as you can for leverage, stick a torch down the neck yule see what i mean, good
luck.Mick:P |

any VW shop should carry the special tool for doing the job, if you can take it to a vw shop you could get them to loosen it.

Special Tool WTF
Here is a secret hint but keep it under your hat. Go and get a mower blade for a victa, they fit in the slots just nice and then use shifter to turn
it .
If you like, I can buy a set for $5 open the packet, kick it around the yard, wrap it up and put a VW Special tool label on it and sell it to you for
$20 if you like, probably even have a VW stamp kicking around so I could stamp it and all.
Maybe I can sell one to Wes .... hey Wes want to buy a special tool ???

look at the first tool on this page, and you'll see something dodgy for the job
http://www.thebugshop.org/bsntt.htm
as well as other homemade special tools.
The real special tool looks like this.
