t4 stuck in gear (help)


Help , has anyone had there t4 transporter manual stuck in a gear ?
Mine is stuck in 4th gear , it seems that sharft from gear box is jammed . I have taken off gear shift rods and have tryed to jimmy shaft up and down .
Has anyone pulled gear selector shaft cover off befor (what did they find ? can i pull out selector rod shaft ? )

maybe give leon @ leons motors a call as he looks after mine..?

Assuming that you have checked the balls and socket on top of the box is ok ( the big ball disintegrates fairly regularly)Les

All of aboved check but problem is in gearbox . Removal is nearly done but having problem parting the two . Have removed all bolts and axle snout mount on motor (right side ) , gearbox to engine bay mount on left , cv axles l &r sides , small allan keys bolts at bottom of gear box to engine .
Gearbox is very loss but around firewall side top will not part campany ( near where clutch cylinder bolts on ) Has anyone removed t4 gearbox ? Must have misted something ?
