Superbug Head job...

Gday, my wifes 72 superbugs engine starrted jumping around. did usual checks fuel spark etc. Could nt find problem so off to the trusty mechanic whos known the car since new.
Prognosis is a stuck valve (happy it didnt drop it !!)The mechanic is telling me thjat both heads want rebuilding (sounds fair) and this will cost anything from 900 to 1500 dollars...........this sound expensive to me. Would be interested to hear from anybody whos had similar work done and what it cost them.
at the end of the day nobody likes paying for ahead job!!!!?

As Lee said, duck over and see Greg at Jax, hes in snow st, last workshop down the end of number 18
u'll see his white superbug with herbie stripes

funnily enough i can confirm that address cos for some reason my VWMA subscription also has his address under mine LOL

he had some 1776cc heads with bigger valves and porting he was gonna sell me for $275ea so stocko;s should be abit cheaper than that
