CYCLONE.....

Hello fellow VDubbers..hope you are all keeping an eye on the little storm swirling around in the ocean "up" here as the impact down towards SE QLD might be of some concerne to residents even in Brisneyland, even if it only means flooding.
Check out this thread....

Better safe than sorry!!! It was a non event in Townsville with fine weather and no wind but the projected path sends it way further down south than one would normally travel, especially at that intensity.Remember the rain is usually the heaviest SOUTH of the system....
Clean up!!!!!!! Be prepared....

Just talked to my parents in Mackay and they seem to be doing ok (I'm presently in Townsville). Wind has picked up a bit but nothing severe, starting to rain heavy now.

Rain and dark clouds are rolling in thick and fast over the north side of Brissy. wind is picking up as well. Rain is drizzle with the odd squaling heavier shower. All beaches are closed on the Sunny coast and Fraser Island is also closed. My cousin has had to cancel 2 full tours so far to Fraser so far this week so he is far from impressed....

My brother has a mate in Hervey Bay which is very close to where they think it will hit land and he said yesterday arvo it was still sunny with a few clouds and a nice decent breeze blowing. Am currently waiting for the update on the weather up there this arvo.

It died in the arse!! Mind you going to work yesterday in the buggy was a bit hairy, going down to Tewantin and changing lanes suddenly without turning the steering wheel certainly sorts out any chance of constipation:rolleyes:
