need advice
Hi,
I need to register Allan's car and have an apointment with Vic Roads, does anyone know if it will be a problem that the engine is from a beetle and
is a 1600.
His car is 1967 kombi split screen.
Do i need to get an engineers certificate for that or is it a common thing to do.
What can I do to make vic roads happy.
Thanks
Monica

Not sure what it's like in VIC, but in NSW and QLD all you have to do is take it in , pay a fee to have the engine number changed.
I don't think it would warrant a disc brake conversion or an engineers just for a 1600
few years back I had a Mazda 1300 that was unregistered, cracked piston in the engine, fitted another engine from the wreckers, they didn't even
check it.
Although the car was completely standard, hubcaps etc..
If they car is all hotted up they may want to go over it with a fine tooth comb.
