one for the brake gurus

if u run 165/15 on the front and 205/15 on the rears of your ghia or bug [some run narrower] regardless of the size of your motor, is there any advantage to upgrading the brakes, given the tyre size

I take its an early Ghia with Drums all round

The wheels size dont matter a stuff its the weight of the car n power of the engine

but yes disc are diffently better even on an origional stocker car

you could convert to front discs useing the Vintage set up they work well and you can still run yr origional wide 5 wheels or another stud patern if you want

hi dave, i understand what u r saying, i cant get my head around the fact that a vw drum brake and a disc brake would make any diff when it comes to locking up a wheel especially a front wheel on a car with most weight in the rear. appreciate your thoughts
