45mm dellorto?

Hi guys
Im about to inheret a pair of carbies from my brother which he has named as possibly 45mm dellorto which he was running on his 4.1l turbo cortina (i think)
Im running a standard 72 1600 engine, and im guessing these are too overrated for my engine?
Would selling them on be a better option?
i can post a pic if someone wants to have a go identifying them

Yeh 45mm is way too big. 40mm is pushing it on a 1600.
May as well just donate them to me :D

If they are from a cortina they are side draft

You need down

Any of the early water cars would like then
If you have the manifold - even better

Thanks for the help guys, im not too sure about the side draft but ill take your word for it.
No way i can put them in so most probably sell them, but in that case he will be selling them and i wont get the money :(
Any ideas for relativley cheaper dual carb set ups?
The ony pricing iv seen on a kit is a rare kit on ebay, forget what exactly

Kadrons are a dime a dozen
Pick a set up for $400 no worries

Otherwise you can go Weber IDF or Dellorto DRLA

Whatever - the prices here for rebuilt and jetted are not over the top
